Need help with mouseover or onclick in players

Hi,

I am with an advertiser that gives codes to launch an ad when a user clicks something specifically. A simple onclick="" code is given to me along with the advertisers script that is placed in the header of my site. What i am trying to do is get the onclick to work when a user clicks a video player. The player is not hosted on my site but on various other video sharing sites.

My goal is to have an ad popup either when a user mousesover the player or when a user clicks on the player. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
