Plain dedicated server needed... without Cpanel

Hello, my site sends emails, sort of like aweber. I am trying to configure the domain keys on my website, to increase email deliverability.

Does anyone know where I can get a plain, dedicated server, that allows me to update the dns records with domain keys. I am trying to run my own DNS server. I want to configure the domain key verification manually.

I use 1and1.com for my dedicated servers, but it comes with a default plesk control panel, which is a shell over the plain OS, which does not allow me to configure the domain keys manually.

Thank you!

I think you need a special router if you're going to run your own DNS server, so most dedicated boxes are simply not going to be able to handle it. Most people with a dedicated server just set the CNAME records from the registrar to point at the IP address of the server, then, in the case of Apache, VirtualHost records are created in a virtual.conf file on the server itself to point requests for individual hostnames at the correct directories.

What version of Plesk does it use? As of 8.6 support is builtin.

    WHM/Cpanel also supports domain keys.

If you want a plain server, you can try The Planet - Dedicated Servers | Managed Dedicated Server Hosting

There are several options to do this. you could use Rapidvps to do his. They have both vps servers and dedicated servers with or without cpanel or pleask. They alow you to change your dns records and also if you are going to be hosting your own mailing list on your server they also do not have a sending limit for their vps and dedicted server plans.

You may also want to consider a service like sendgrid to help with your list delivery because they have a relationship with the major ISP's and can help keep you out of trouble and getting your domain and ip's on blacklists.

    Hope this helps.

What OS do you want on there and what is your budget?
