from what I understand it should just work without you needing to add any code to your theme files.

However, it seems to be incompatible with some themes according to comments from users at the plugin author's site here:

Check to see if it works when you use the WordPress default theme and deactivate all your other plugins to test it.

I would also suggest letting the plugin author know it doesn't work for you.
