I remembered I started learning Turbo C over 10 years ago. It is small and runs in DOS.

A fantastic book for beginners is "Absolute Beginner's Guide to C" (2nd Edition) by Greg Perry. You can get it at Amazon. It's very easy to understand and is actually fun to read. Published in 1994, it's an old, but excellent book.

    Regards,

    Johnny

You should check out "The C Programming Language" by Dennis M. Richie and Brian W. Kernigham. I haven't read it but I keep reading it is the best book to learn C from.

If you wish to learn C, The C Programming Language", 2nd Edition, by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie is a good choice. Additionally, "C Programming: A Modern Approach" written by K N King is also recommended.

Good luck with this type of high-level programming language!
