Question about Scripts

How hard would it be for a newbie to create a script for using bookmarketing, and do you think it would be worth it?
Any idea on where to start? (if, at all)

I really have no knowledge in this field, so please no mean comments.

    I've never heard the term "bookmarketing" before (I assume it's marketing via social bookmarking sites?)

    The first place I go when I'm looking to find a script is Hot Scripts - The net's largest PHP, CGI, Perl, JavaScript and ASP script collection and resource web portal.

    The majority of them are free, and if you can find something even close to what you're looking for, life is good.

    Hi,

    Do a search on Google for all the various social bookmarking sites that exist and take a look at how they monetise their sites. You'll find there is a lot of competition out there already.

    But if you have a new twist then it might be worth having a go. There are different types of social bookmarking sites out there. Some are standalone websites coded in PHP, some are simple add-ons for sites to make it easy for you to add your site to other bookmarking sites.

    I'd say it would be difficult to crack the market unless you have some great twist. And you'll either need to learn PHP or find a partner who can do the coding for you.

    Right now the big thing is apps (for iPhone and Android). Head down to Amazon or your local bookstore and browse through the multitude of books on programming for these devices. Have a look see if thats something you could get into.
