Is anyone know about Open Source?

Are there any warriors that have had some experience in open source projects. I have been working on some software and am looking to turn it over to the open source community.

Shoot me a PM if you can help me/ advise/ direction...

What's the project and what do you hope to achieve by open sourcing it?

In the simplest case all you need to do is select an appropriate license and make the code publicly available.

If you have some code you'd like to open source, just create a simple site for it and make it easy for people to jump right in and start working with your code. But if this software is to solve a particular problem you have and does not mean anything to anyone else, then it might not take off.

    Give it a try anyway.
    Good luck

The best place to turn in over to is sourceforge.net - there's a lot of people there ready to contribute.

can take a look at google and codeplex too. but yea sourceforget is huge, but i still prefer otherwise ...

as for your open source projects, make sure you understand the open source license requirements (e.g. GPL license) before planning to open it
