Need Help with G Analytics Please

Hi. Can someone help me with GA? I'm getting (after 24 hrs) "tracking not installed" message. It says in google that it might be in conflict with other scripts and to put the code in the head, not body.

but i can't find where to put it in the WP theme.....thanks if anyone can help. I will be happy to pay you to go into the admin and see.... thanks!

it will be in the ....com/wp-content/themes/YOURTHEME folder, usually header.php, footer.php or index.php - though the best advice I can give you is to read this

It may work in the header (could slow your site load time though), but it is supposed to go into the footer.php file.

In your footer file place the code just before the </body> tag. Then go to your site and refresh the page, so that it activates and then go back to Google and test it again.

You could try one of the plugins to WP for google analytics: WordPress › WordPress Plugins

You can try using this particular plugin: WordPress › Google Analytics for WordPress WordPress Plugins
Note: there are some themes which allow you to enter your GA code or GA account details through the theme options. Only use the above plugin if your theme does not give you that option.
