Need to create widgets

Hello

I need to create widgets hosted on my site (mostly stock and precious metals charts) so that other users can install and display on their website, do you know where could I find somebody or is this something that any old PHP programmer can do?

  • First you need to define where they should get the data from. Then you need to decide how often you want it updated. The programmer just has to write code to scrape that data, cache it, and display it.

    It's not complicated but might be a couple hours project depending on how the target site is structured.

      Anyway, I will be needing a PHP programmer too, most likely.

      I have looked at widgetbox. Seems like they let you create widgets here to use on your own site. But if I (and the OP on this thread) want to create widgets to give away, that are customizable by individual users, does WB offer that kind of functionality?

      I have played around with it but it seems outside of the pre-made widgets, you are on your own to come up with custom ones (like using the custom html/java option they offer...)

      Just wondering if others have had experience doing this.
