Someones putting MY SITE in iFrame

I need help again.
Just noticed someone is loading my website in an iframe on their site. I guess I don't really understand the point of this, why would someone do that? Also, it's showing my Adsense ads on their site.
What do I do?

  • Have you tried contacting the site owner?
  • Site doesn't list a contact but just checked whois and there is a yahoo email so will try to contact them thru that.

    • Is that person displaying some of their content as well as your page? or just your page? I wonder if they are trying to override your ads with theirs.

      You need to look into Frame Buster code. See the link below:

      However, as you will see in this link, there are ways around it (there are ways around everything). Perhaps this person who's displaying your website as an iframe is not yet aware of this yet. So it's worth a shot; maybe they will give up.

  • thanks, I've included that code to all my sites now. Also, emailed the person and they replied, apologized & said they're removing my site from theirs. Probably because mine was breaking out of frames, ha!

  • Ok am i seeing this wrong you are getting free publicity through their site, any Google ads that are clicked in the iframe YOU get paid for them (see Adsense rules on other sites). All a iframe does is insert your web page within a frame. People use them so visitors do not leave their site, light boxes etc do simular.

    If it was me i would have let them and then reaped the profit it generated from their traffic.

  • I agree with the 2 above comments, unless the person who is framing your site is benefiting more than you are from it, or claiming the content belongs to them, then i would have a problem, but otherwise, I would consider it being more beneficial for you, you get 2x as much advertisement for your site.

    • It seems kinda dumb to frame someone elses site unless you're ganna benefit from it in some way, makes me think there's more to this than it appears on the surface

  • hmmm, now I am facing exactly the same issue as of the OP topic.

    As some of you already mentioned that this is fine; and of course it is Okay with me too but couple questions:

    - is this okay with adsense rules ? in my case he has placed his ads on his page too!
    - do i need to add his website to the list of allowed sites in my adsense account to get the profit from him?

    while i do not mind to have my pages iframed somewhere else; i feel a bit uncomfortable to show my adsense ads on a page that i have no control of it!
