Best way to host / show private video

Hi

I am looking to have a way to have a private video available for a client. Prefer they don't have to log in to see it.

Any reccos on how to set this up?

I don't mind using a viddler or similar service, but to make it private, they have to have an account to see it...

Prefer to give them a unique url that won't be searched or indexed...is there such a thing as a private url.

also, don't mind paying for solutions... have both blogs and websites, so can host on either.

thanks

Jane

on one of your WordPress blogs make sure you have the All-in-One-Seo or Platinum SEO plugin installed
also install pageMash plugin so that you can hide the WordPress page you will create for the video
next, create a WordPress page and upload your video using the "video upload button" just above the post editor

scroll down to the All-In-One-Seo or Platinum-Seo options and select noindex/nofollow for your page so that prevents search engines from following or indexing the page.

    and save/publish when you're done

    next go to Pages->pageMash
and select the page you just created and hide it so that it won't appear on your blog's page menu

then give your client the URL of that hidden page.

Still won't stop people from sharing the URL, which will get indexed.

Create a new post in WP and make it Password Protected.

Give the password to your client via email.

    Done.

Ah, I see what you mean, Jane.

You don't even want them to have to use a password.

    Just a hidden, private URL.

Easy Video Player works well for me for that.

When you create the video settings in EVP, you can
choose the option to create a special page to play the
video but it doesn't actually exist - the playback page
gets generated on the fly by Easy Video Player.

You get a private URL to give out like this:

You could also just have it done in Flash. I'd probably check out the suggestions above, but if you want to go with a custom video player, I could probably help you with that!
