Can I Create this Image Scroll without using Flash?

I'd like to emulate something like this: Columbia Artists Management Inc. but without using flash (due to iPad, iPhone visibility)

It appears to just be a bunch of images that scroll automatically and when moused over, get bigger and have a highlight of some sort. Can this be done without using flash?

If so, how?

Alternatively you can use AJAX which is more friendly than JavaScript.

Think it can be done, check Dynamic Drive DHTML(dynamic html) & JavaScript code library and you will find lot of scripts.

Try Magic Slideshow which automatically scrolls images. It already has a lot of possible settings (speed, effect, thumbnails, text descriptions, arrows) and more coming in version 2 which is currently in production.
