I am looking to build a e-commerce website similar to Overstock.com and Newegg.com using the Magento e-commerce platform. I want to grow it fairly large and eventually develop some specialty stores based off the parent site.
What I need to know is what Magento edition would I need to satisfy my needs....Enterprise, Professional or Community.
I really like all the specialty features of the enterprise, but I don`t know if it warrants over $13000 a year in expenses. Can the features found in the enterprise be developed for the professional or community levels.
