Improve Website Speed

Good Morning Warriors - I checked my speed loading on a site and it's
44 KB opening up in 31 seconds. I believe it's largely due to a big flash
gallery on my home page using Feature Gallery plug-in. I also have
an Amazon Flash Ad in the Sidebar and a You Tube embedded video on Home Page.

May I ask how can I cut the speed down without eliminating any of these
features, is it possible? Should I look at the Feature Gallery Pics and if I can compress these photos more without losing the size? Not sure if I can compress the Video or the Amazon ad without losing size proportions?

Suggestions and Tips and Help are most welcomed. Thanks. Tresa.

  • hi..have you tried using gzip for your site? usually you can enable it on the .htaccess

    • Is there're factor from where the site host? or where it opened?
      Like if we open the site from US, when the site was hosted on Asia?
      It makes different I think
