  • What sort of hosting control panel are you on? If it's cPanel then the path will most likely be:

    /home/cpanel_username/public_html/path/to/directory

    But if it's running something else it may be different, try searching through your hosts knowledgebase and you should be able to find something.
  • Create a PHP file (.php) with the following code:

    <?php echo dirname(__FILE__);?>
    Upload the file to the images directory, and then open it in your web browser. The script will display the path to your images directory.
  • In wordpress, you can define the image path in your wp dashboard.
    Go to Settings> Miscellaneous
    and here you can see the defined paths.

    Image path

    I need to find the server path to the location of my images, can anyone tell me how I do this. I am using Shopper press a shopping cart theme for wordpress, it given me a path which is incorrect and when I click on the image tool it brings up an error; Your image configuration settings are correct and your image path is not correct and/or not CHMOD 777 Any help greatfully received.
