Blocking Visitors from Search Queries

I notice that much of the spam I get from search comes from people searching for inurl:"blog comments" is there anyway of blocking these people.I think it could be done via the ht.access file

    You'll only see what the query was if they come straight from a search engine.
    Most people get the url's from the SEs and then enter them into a program to do the spamming. So the short answer is yes you can set up the blocking, but it won't do anything.

      Thanks KirkMcD, I have decided to block the county where they are coming from instead using the ht.access file as I noticed they are mostly coming from a particular country.Their Adsense clicks pay very little if they do click, also they are lowering my ctr also so I think this is the best option.
