Need help editing Aweber Javascript form

Anyone able to help out with filling in custom (hidden) fields in lightbox javascript form - need to plug in data from either a var or cookie.


Code:
<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"custom Field1\" value=awf_Form.getCookie('cookiename') \/>
doesn't seem to work.

I have also tried setting a var in javascript tags in the PHP page that calls it, but I don't know how to get the value of the var into the value of the custom field.
