What Wordpress Plugin Would YOU Like To See?

Warriors,

I have spent way too much time learning the ins and outs of Wordpress. And as I am getting more comfortable with PHP, I want to create a really useful Wordpress Plugin. It would be especially cool to create something specifically for the internet marketing community.

So I'm wondering, what plugin would you like to see? Any ideas of a plugin that could help internet marketers like us create more success with their Wordpress blogs? Thanks for your help!

Ive been looking for music plugin for very long time, something that caused a song to play as soon as a visitor enters the blog. But so far its only a click based music launch plugin.

Ah, that's an awesome idea, thanks hendricius and rickd222. I am definitely going to look into a music plugin.

JKinakin, haha. That does sound pretty cool. I've tried some WP ecommerce plugins in the past, but they're really complex and hard to use.

That is not possible, this is the web. The only 2 solutions KILL SEO.

Not to mention, your visitors, no matter how much they like your music, don't want to be assaulted by your music when the page loads.

I brought this up on another thread but.....

If there was a plug-in, or a couple of plug-ins,
that would work well together to build an ecommerce
site that can input either my own products, affiliate products,
or both. Also integrate it with payment processor, Paypal, credit card, etc..
      with a shopping cart
AND have the ability to do membership and/or forum builds that
accept single or recurring payments with an autoresponder
      script integration.

Ok, that should keep you busy building it for a few months LOL

For the type of forum that this is, that would be a BIG favorite
with the members here. (Would make a great WSO also)

      Now get to work

One thing I would really like to see is a plugin that makes a game system/guide similar to when you build a website on DevHub • A Seriously FUN Free Website Builder They make it "rewarding" to keep your blog updated, optimize SEO, etc...

There is a plugin calle CubePoints that could be a decent base, but I would like to see it with a little more focus on the admin side of it.

Interesting idea, I'll have a look at what Dagon has built and see if there's any opportunity to make something there. Thanks!

That's a great concept, something like a social game for publishers where you get points by doing productive tasks on your blog, maybe even incorporate it with other blogs so you could compete.

How about a plugin that pulls in ebay products, where you can pull in certain types of products if you are an ebay affiliate.

Or a plugin that will easily and simply allow you to rearrange all the elements on your wordpress theme, meaning give you great design control, being able to resize and add color or images ect......

Check out the phpBay plugin for Ebay and phpZon plugin for Amazon products. I believe that they are bundling them together for $99.00.

Lately I've been looking for a way to get WordPress to offer a monthly subscription based "premium" section of my site, and also restrict my comments to premium members. There's a few out there, but most of them are buggy and/or incompatibly with WP3.

As a photographer that uses WP as my photoblog CMS I'd like to see a "fuller" more complete flickr plugin that encompasses ALL of the Flickr API. Maybe where each API call is built into a WP admin form that gives you the properly formatted php to include in your templates/posts/pages/sidebar for "photos by user id" or "photoset" or "tag" and one I haven't seen yet, the "flickr comments" attached to an image.

Mun, creating a "Warrior WP Plugin Development Team" is a great idea.

I could help with the project management and distributing the work, I have lots of expertise there.

a plugin that will find images from flickr or any other source related to post content and include in post. to find "keywords" related to post content, you can use either post tags or yahoo developer api which will return related tags/keywords. you can use the same keyword to search in flick.

Great ideas, guys. Thank you! I am working on a simple mp3 player sidebar widget right now. I also like the Flickr related content plugin, that could be really cool if you got it to work right.

A plugin that can convert WP posts to PDF files would be really nice. Another useful plugin would be something that can insert a pre-set tombstone image automatically at the end of an article, like what a printed magazine usually does.

    Andrew,

yeah, it would be cool if it can be done. with an "alt" attribute set to main targeting keywords, it will also add some good SEO value as well.

let me know if when code that. i will have better feature suggestions to make it really useful.
