Aweber experts, please help.

I'm trying to provide immediate access to my video page for someone who fills out the form on my website. So, when a visitor fills out their name and email, they are immediately brought to my video page instead of seeing the aWeber default page: "You're Almost Done! Activate Your Subscription". Can someone please tell me how to set up Aweber so that someone who fills out the form immediately sees my video page? Thank you!

I think you may be able to do this by turning off the Confirmed Opt In and pointing to your video page as the "Success Page". You'll get a couple of warnings about doing this, as turning off the confirmation process is not something AWeber recommends.

Hi Bill. I tried this without success. Regardless of whether or not you change the opt-in to confirmed or not, the subscriber is brought immediately to an aWeber default page. If Opt-In is turned off, the page is: "Thank you for subscribing." If the Opt-In is turned on, the page is: "You're Almost Done. Activate Your Subscription!"

What I want to have happen is for the subscriber to IMMEDIATELY be brought to my own html page that has an embedded video. In other words, the aWeber default page is bypassed completely. The subscriber will still get the email requesting an opt-in by clicking the link but the screen announcing this is not the first thing they see after submitting the form.

You can just change it in the optin form settings. Just change the thank you page to whereever your video is located. You should probably remind them that they need to confirm in their inbox as well

Hi Jason. This doesn't work. I want to send my subscribers to my html page with the embedded video even BEFORE they get a Thank You page. In order for them to receive a Thank You page, they must actually click the link to Opt-In. Instead, I want my subscribers to get my html page with embedded video IMMEDIATELY after they enter their name and email, then click the Submit button. No Opt-In required to get my video.

You don't need to turn off Confirmed Opt-In. It's a good idea to turn it on and keep it on. Just change the thank-you page URL.

Are you 100% sure? Have you tried it? I did it 2 days ago and just did again to double-check. I assure you it does work. It may not be named well, but that will achieve the functionality you're describing.

You would think so, but that's not how it actually works. The "thank-you" page is the page they are immediately taken to after filling out their name/email and clicking "submit".
