Streaming Media Protection Help Needed

Hey All,
Sorry if there is already a thread for this I searched and came up blank. I know there are thousands of people talking about streaming media but I am looking for someone to help me with/point me to a script to help me secure files from the "above average" Joe...

I am currently paying around $70 per month to stream a few files to my website from a protected streaming server. I know it is really difficult to crack whatever security they have in place but am sick of paying so much.

I would like to have someone write or point me to some sort of script that I can easily upload and install that will prevent:
1) My videos from streaming to any site other than mine
2) My videos from being downloaded in Quicktime, VLC, etc.

I basically want protection for anyone that is somewhat computer savy. I realize that the files will never be 100% protected but I want to get moderate protection. I have heard of codes that hide the actual video URL but I don't really know much about programming or where to start.

Any help would be appreciated, and any programmers that can do this for me I am willing to pay.

No matter how much you pay to protect your streaming video, the "above average" Joe will always be able to screen-capture your video.

If it can be watched, it can be re-recorded.

Something I've done in the past is to embed a secret code inside the flash player so when it requests the media it includes that code and the web server verifies it before sending the file. That way the file cannot be easily downloaded.

You should be able to limit access to your video files the same way you prevent "hotlinking" to images. Here's a tutorial for CPanel configuration: cPanel Tutorial - Hotlink Protection
