I need wordpress assistance please

I have installed a new wordpress database but am having problems intalling new theme and plugins.

When I use the upload new theme/plugin I get the following warning:

Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/extremesportsinsurance.com.au/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2010/08. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

What does this mean and how can I fix it ?

  • It is directory permission issue and upload directory is not configured properly.

    Please go to setting-> misccellaneous and check for Store uploads in this folder box

    and let me know what you have there.

    • Yeah it was a permission issue. I reset the permissions and all is OK now.
