Would THIS be difficult to do? Any Plugins?

So, I have a site ..

Fight Passport - Reviews Of Thailand Muay Thai Camps and MMA Conditioning Tips!

I also just set up a forum..

Fight Passport Forums - Index

On the homepage of the site, where I have the "featured content gallery", I want to remove that and replace it with something that displays the "latest posts" from my forum..

I want it to be that size as well, and blend in nicely .. haha

Asking a lot I know...

Is this possible?

Bill

It appears to be a wordpress site and a simple machines forum... How about an wordpress rss plugin to display the latest posts from your forum feed? Might be the easiest way to do it quickly.

    Yup, it's wordpress/SMF ..

I've done it that way before, but I displayed it as a widget in my sidebar..

This time I would have to set it up right in the middle of the site at a larger width..

yes it is posible. Not sure if there is a plugin for it. But you can have a programmer to code it, retrieve data from forum database and display it in the blog

Cool site! I don't use wordpress but this is how I would do it.

Write an SQL query that gets the data you want from your forum.
Use php / mysql to get this out of your database and on to the page.
Wrap this data into a nicely styled html div.

The EASIEST way would be to configure a 'sidebar' area in your template where you want the rss feed. Then you could drag an RSS widgie in there - or any other widgie for that matter.

    Pretty simple thing to do.

Hey MuayThaiGuy, a BJJguy here. Cool site you got there BTW!

There is an even easier way which it is to add your feed to feedburner, click on "publicise" "buzzboost" and feedburner will give you the HTML code for you to place anywhere on your site.

I always use this method even for sidebars because all the RSS plugins available are very limited. On the buzzboost page, you will be able to set feed size, display/remove parts of the feed, allow people to subscribe to your forums feed etc...
