Website audio visualizations...

I'm looking for a way to generate music visualizations from my website that will display on my visitors screens. The only way I've been able to do this so far is to create a video from visualizations generated on my desktop using screen capture. Audio quality using this method is very poor.

There's a great visualization tool called G-Force but I'm sure it requires that the viewer has the program on their machine. I want to "broadcast" it within my website.

Any suggestions (even "it's not possible!") are much appreciated.

  • Everything is possible!

So do you broadcast these music visualisations from your music collection? Or the users?

If it is the former, you will need to stream directly from your computer through to the users which is of course bandwidth intensive. You would be better to look for a solution that does it all on your server.

The latter, would be solved with a flash or similar plugin. It would require access to the users computer so could be a security risk for people...
