Setting up Opt-in page on netgear router

Hello Warriors,

I have a client who is using a netgear router for his WiFi access, he wants a capture page to be on there so he can capture leads when people access his wifi. I'm good on lead capture.

But my issue is I've never setup a lead capture on a router, how would I go about doing this?

Thanks,

Ed

  • I don't think you will able to do this on the router itself, you'll need a server to do that. An old workstation that is setup with LINUX and Apache would do the trick.

Define a static address for it that is outside the routers DHCP pool, you can also define a virtual server for it so that you can monitor it from outside the network.

  • Ok thanks,

I'm gonna give it ago, it's foreign to me, so if I can't figure it out, hopefully someone here on the WF can help me out.

    • If you get a router that supports DD-WRT firmware you should be able to do what you need to do with Chillispot.
