What's a good and reliable company from India or Philippines that could handle building a php based script for me?

And is there a better way to outsource something like this?

    There's probably something more in depth in the forum, however here are a couple outsourcing sites:
    www.vWorker.com (formerly PlanetSourceCode.com)
    www.Guru.com
    www.Elance.com
    www.Freelancer.com

    Personally, I've only have dealt with vWorker.com and Guru.com. which have been satisfactory overall.

    It is strictly Philippines workers. There are no frills, prepayment or anything except just connecting you up with the workers. It has worked great for me.
  • odesk.com is very good also. The key to any outsource project is VERY GOOD and VERY DETAILED specifications. If you use elance, guru or odesk, there will be ratings from previous customers. make sure you look at these very carefully. guys that miss deadlines, usually miss them. guys that go over budget, usually go over budget

    • Another thing to consider/question is the accuracy of ratings. Neither elance, guru nor odesk uses a blind rating system, and both odesk and guru let their users hide bad ratings. (Guru goes so far as to charge users to block honest reviews).
  • If your going to outsource something, make sure you have checks to TEST that it is finished.

    WHEN FINISHED THE SCRIPT WILL:
    1.) Do this.
    2.) and Do this.
    3.) and Do this.

    because if you cant check the code that someone is writing its going to end up costing you extra if you find those bugs later. Like AFTER the bill has been paid and the project closed.
