Need some help on a popup

I Have a pop up that was script installed and I want to remove it but I can't locate the script. Unfortunately I don't know what script it is or who wrote it either.

Any suggestions on how to find it and get rid of it would really be appreciated. Site is webmarketingnewbie dot com

  • Are you talking about that obnoxious popup/alert box that comes up when you try & navigate away from the site?

    • Yep that's the one! No idea where it came from either.
  • Turn off seopressor plugin. He has calls back to his site that is triggering the javascript. I'd put in a complaint.

    • I deactivated the plug in and that took care of one of the popups (it in fact had his site address on it). But there is still a pop up there. Any more idea - and thanks for that Steve I appreciate it.
  • Hmmmm...... well I had another look & the problem is with the iframe the plugin inserts into your page; if you deactivated it then I have no idea why it's still displaying. Have you tried deleting it?

    I suppose it *is* possible the plugin hardcodes the content into your posts & isn't removed on existing posts.... only posts made AFTER you have disabled it. In this case you would have to remove the code manually....

    • Yes I think I am going to have to take the hard route on this. Something else has happened because I use this plugin on several other sites along with this theme and nothing like this has happened. Don't know what it was that triggered things, but it wasn't nice.
