WordPress Plugin Question

How much would a programmer charge to create a WordPress plugin? The plugin idea I have doesn't do a lot, but I have no idea how to code plugins. I would be willing to give the idea to someone for them to market, as long as I get a free copy for my own use. Anyone interested?

  • It entirely depends on what you need the plugin to do, and how long that would take a programmer to develop.

    You'd also need to then factor in any support (assuming you're looking to then sell the plugin to your customers), along with ongoing work for fixes, updates and improvements.

    I'd suggest trying the Warriors for Hire section here, and find people who specialise in Wordpress development. Contact them and explain your idea, and they should be able to give you a cost and turnaround time.
