HELP PLEASE Trouble Shooting Wordpress Install

I just installed Wordpress via Fantastico on my site.

It seemed to go okay until I got to the WP dashboard. Then when I went to write a blog post nothing showed up. Can someone point me in the right direction?

thanks

Did you click the "Publish Button" after you finished your post.

That is the only time when your post do not show if you only chose to save it instead of publish.

Also check you blogs front page...IE: By clicking the "View Site" button on top left hand side, to see if it is showing your new post.

Is it showing your wordpress theme, but teh post isn't there or is the whole page blank?

If you had a previous site on the domain, make sure you deleted the previous index.html file. Wordpress uses index.php but your browser will look for the .html first and if it is there and blank that is what you will see.

If you see your WP theme, but no post, I will need a little more info to determine the cause.

It's easy you can do this in 2 ways from Cpanel or through FTP, Once you are logged into your site click on public_html / folder and check for previous installation of website files such as "Index.Html" and delete it.

Just leave the "Index.php" file in there this is your wordpress blog index page.

    Hope it helps.
