Forums are not designed so that you can delete a thread when you've resolved your issue... because it's for the edification of everyone in the forum.

Instead of editing your original thread and deleting your question, why not post a reply stating "I've figured this out, and here's how I did it...". That way, anyone else that has the same problem in the future can see how you solved it and benefit from it.
