CSV and wordpress

Hi,
I wonder if anybody has done this or seen it done.

If I have a Large CSV file, (10K books)

Are there any programs that can allow you to import the CSV and have the contents appear over time?

My Idea is import into wordpress- thoughts?

  • You'd have to manually place "end of post" markers within your CSV file, then write a plugin that would read the file and make the posts.

    One issue I see is that the posts wouldn't be formatted very well. Your CSV file can't denote what is a heading or subheading, where a chapter ends, or where a book ends for that matter.

    It will probably still take some manual intervention to make them readable - unless you're not doing it for them to be read...
