Email Form

Hi Everybody ~

I want to have an email form on my webpage. I understand that there are two parts to this form - the first part is the form located on my webpage and the second part is the script that send me the email. The problem is that is all I understand! I don't know how to get the boxes for the visitor to fill out on my webpage nor do I understand how to get the submit button. The second part is even more confusing for me - I don't have a clue how to write this script! I have looked all over the net and have tried dozens of different ones with no luck - can someone please help me???

    • Well, what's your hosting environment like? The answer's different if it's in PHP or ASP. If you're using WordPress there are a number of good contact form plugins that won't require any programming

    • I would advise against using this form generator. The generated PHP code that does the actual sending DOESN'T do any input validation. This *will* result in nasty surprises (as in spammers using the form to mass mail their junk, even with the captcha).

      Validation seems to be done in javascript, which can be totally bypassed. Not secure at all.

      Your best bet is to hire a programmer or read up on the proper way of doing mail thru PHP. Unfortunately I can't post a link 'cuz my post count is too low! sorry

  • First ,Please check whether your hosting supports PHP mail() function? Otherwise it is waste of time by checking with all free php scripts available online.If that part is okay I can help you in coding PHP mail.
