How to Repair How to Repair Crashed Wordpress Table
Was worried because I didn't backup my databases. After searching the net for solution for some time, finally I got it resolved.
When I was trying to resolve this, I thought it might be useful to take this opportunity to do screenshots for the steps taken (crashed table don't happen often, I suppose )
(1) Here's the screenshot of the site after the table 'wp_posts' was crashed
(2) The Wordpress Dashboard shows "0" posts (where are my posts )
(3) Login to cPanel and open phpMyAdmin. Noted that the table wp_posts is in use. No records...
(4) Click on the crashed table, this case "wp_posts". An error message '.../wp_posts' is marked as crashed and should be repaired is displayed.
(5) Checked the table to repair and scroll down to select 'repair table' at the dropdown menu.
(6) A message stating "... executed successfully displayed"
(7) Looking at the database, the table looks normal now. With number of records showing.
(8) From the dashboard, the posts and pages are back!
(9) The website is back to normal with the content.
Hope it will help someone with similiar encounter. Going to backup my databases now..
