Aweber's Affiliate System

Hello programmers and IMers!

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if Aweber's (the autoresponder service) affiliate system is actually a commercial software (heavily customized for them) OR a system programmed by their own house programmers?

I run a web app business, and it's quite hard to find suitable affiliate software/systems to use for my own web app business that charges recurring monthly payment and to reward affiliates monthly if they had referred customers.

Any help, advice, etc would be sweet.

    This is a non programming solution, but I use clickbank products to do this in a coaching program I run currently.

    What I do is let coaches sell my products to their prospects and they can also charge via paypal (I don't touch this) for their services.

    They then set up new coaches using another product of mine which gives them a recurring payment each time that new coach pays for the system.

    Is that the kind of thing you're looking for? Or are you trying to code a multi-tiered affiliate system?

      I'm not very sure what you mean. Are you simply utilizing Clickbank's affiliate platform to do the same as Aweber?

    I think you have to ask for this kind of solution to a programmer here, and ask for examples, I recently hired a programmer who do a good job installing a affiliate program for one of my sites so is a better choice

      It certainly sounds like two separate billing systems, integrated together. That is if you can't find one that does both.

      What needs to happen is the affiliate needs to get associated with the user that signed up, and separately, bill that user a monthly price, of which a percentage would go to the affiliate.

      The first reply mentioned that indeed clickbank's billing system would indeed do this. I am sure there are others, or a custom solution be made. It seems osCommerce might also be modified to accept recurring payments
