Video Link Help?

I have a video link that my competition keeps hacking and it causes the video message "Were Sorry, this video is no longer available" on You Tube. How can I fix the link and hack proof it with security so my competition does not break the link?

Any one know how to secure the video link on a web page?

  • You are saying that your competition is illegally hacking your web server and compromising web pages that you display?

    Or they are causing the video you link to on YouTube to be moved to a differrent URL than the one you link to, or removed altogether?

    • I think they have moved the URL I was linked to. Not sure.
  • Then the answer would be that you can't.
    All you would have to do to get it taken down at YouTube would be to make a complaint I think.

    Since you can't control things at YouTube, the only real fix would be to host the video yourself.

    • Another option would be to host with a different service... I saw that Gary Vaynerchcuk of Winelibrarytv was using Viddler, so I went that route.... Not sure if the hackable is different or not, but it's worth a shot, and a heck of a lot cheaper than hosting your own videos....

      So do I have to ask permission to host the video myself If I don't own it?

  • Is the video yours or some one elses, if yours can you access it in your youtube account.

  • The video is on you tube so permission is not needed if it is a public video. How ever i would try to find it again on you tube as it could have been removed or they updated to a new one and deleted this one.

    If you find it try to download a copy to your hard drive that way you will have a back up or you could host it on your site then never have to worry about it being deleted again.
