Ruby: Bulk PR Check?
Hey guys,
I'm somewhat of a beginner in ruby, but love it very much already, compared to the few things I tried in c++ years ago and other programming languages that I learned at school
I would like to program a simple script that checks the PR for a big list of URLs, as quick as possible, as it is a BIG list of URLs :p
I have been using Mechanize for some tasks, so I'm familiar with this if necessary, but I'm also ready to learn new stuff for this task.
So my question is: How can I pr-check a lot of domains without getting banned from any site or taking forever? I'm sure there must be some ressources online that offer this, as tools like PaRameter can check a lot of URLs without any problems of getting banned(although I'd like to make things quicker than PaRameter...
).
Any ideas on this? Normally I'd ask in a Rubyforum, but this is very specific to Internet Marketing and knowing about ressources available, that's why I hope that someone might help me here
