A question regarding a program like the Boss Key programs out there.

Hi,

I just wanted to know about a program like the Boss Key programs out there

that hide what's on your screen and can display another 'non-work related'

program on there and all the other cool little things that they do with certain

keystrokes, etc. Such as not to display what apps are running in the tray,

change the volume, etc.


Is that something easy or hard that an average talented programmer
could develop easy?

Hope that last sentence was proper and unoffensive.

  • You need to find a programmer that has Experience with the Windows API.

    The function hooks must be inside there somewhere. With a bit of testing and the usual software development overhead set aside it shouldn't be that hard.
  • If your boss wanted to find out what your doing at work, there are much easier ways than trying to look over your shoulder.
  • Thanks for the reply, Tashi and jminkler, I thought noone was going to come across this thread anymore.

    I wasn't concerned about the boss but I think alot of people are. And I'm guessing alot of people are only worried about the moment they could be caught and not thinking about the other ways they could be caught afterwards.

    I was just throwing around an idea to see about having my own product to promote and not to be an affiliate to some other person's product. Not that that's a bad idea either.

    • Well I guess there may be some home use cases, too, when someone is watching... ahem... some adult sites or something.

      I don't know, such programs usually get many downloads.
