Dynamic Wordpress template depending on click throughs

I would like to create a Wordpress theme for price/feature comparison websites that would dynamically show certain things in the table based on which products are the most popular (in terms of clicks).
So I would have a table with a number of products (rows) and a number of features (columns). Then I would like a script to automatically add badges in some of the columns based on which product receives the most clicks. The product with the most clicks would get a 'Most popular' badge or similar.
What would I need to get this to work? I am talking to a designer to make me this theme, but he can't program this.
