Wordpress problem can anyone help?

Hi, ive got a wordpress site and under my images on my homepage ive got html code instead of what should be caption writing. Ive turned all the plugins off and that didnt fix it, ive read that i may have to alter a piece of code in the theme editor but i dont know what to put. Any help would really be appreciated, thanks.

Maybe you type the HTML code in the VISUAL TAB rather than in your HTML tab. You can see that while you edit the page. If you really want a precise answer try to post the URL of your wordpress site in order to see us what really happens.

it sounds like you have an open tag somewhere... so the website doesnt know is html code...and renders it as text...
