Wordpress 3.1 Admin Slow This Time? Anyone?

I am noticing slow wordpress admin dashboard this time both for my main blog hosted on a vps server and also for a blog on shared hosting..Both are wp 3.1 now

Is the wordpress itself buggy or some plugin causing slowness? Anyone facing it also? Wordpress support forums are filled with this type of problem right now...

I have already removed the admin bar which is said to be the cause of it but doesn't see much effect of it though the speed has improved a bit after disabling it but still not up to the mark..

  • Try turning off your dashboard widgets, see if that helps at all.
  • May be you can try plugin WP-Cache?

    • Things are still fast for me. Maybe try a fresh Wordpress install on your server and see if that is slow. If it isn't then you can start to troubleshoot to see if its your dashboard widgets, any plugins you have installed, etc.
  • do you have any google Analytics plugins that post data to your admin panel?

    I had an issue with GA ninja, which was causing very slow page loads, after I murdered it, everything returned to normal, check for any SEO plugins, that may post data to your pages, I also found that my SEO all in one pack was causing trouble so I also strangled it in the night, LOL, just kidding,
  • I think it is just your hosting. I do not get any issues with it!

    • Shared hosting can be slow at times because of the others sharing resources. Have you tried it on a reseller or dedicated server?
