Linking in Articles within Joomla

When I try to add hyperlinks within an article in Joomla that links to any subdirectory of my domain, it automatically adds the category in which the article is written on.

Let us say that the article I am writing is in http://www.domain.com/articledirectory and I want to hyperlink a word in that article to http://www.domain.com/blog/about-us

What it does automatically is generate the following link http://www.domain.com/articledirectory/blog/about-us which does not exist. I tried different ways to make it not add the subdirectory - in this example - articledirectory but I could not.

I would really appreciate any advise?

  • By the way I still was not able to get around this one yet. I tried the Joomla forum and there is someone there who is trying to understand the problem and hope that I can get an answer there.

    I still could not make myself go the joomla documentation as yet. But I guess there is no escape from doing that.

    I would highly appreciate it if I can find some help here.
