Hmm. Most people use an autoresponder to handle this type of thing. Gary Ambrose's Listwire is a pretty simple but effective free one if you want to give it a try to see if it will do what you want.

Actually it's for a client. I built a membership site for her, but now she
wants some custom re-coding for a feature she needs. For the time
being, until the developers re-do the script, she needs a way to collect
the annual memberships that are coming due now.

So she asked me to put up the 5 Paypal buttons on separate pages
on a temporary private area of the site just to pay for the dues
of present members until the membership script is re-done.

She needs to track the members who pay so that there's a verification
of the payment and name to manually input into a database file to upload
in a week to the re-scripted site .

So I've got 5 pages with different buy now buttons on each and I need a
way to put a name box in the coding, so when they reach the site, they
input their name, press buy now, make a payment and the name goes
to her email address to verify payment and input into a paid section of
the site.

Unless someone has a more ingenious way?
