Best free alternative to Adobe Acrobat??

Hello people,

Can anyone recommend a good free alternative to Adobe Acrobat?

I've been using Adobe Acrobat 5 for years now but it's becoming a little outdated, I've been looking into upgrading to something like Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro but it's so expensive.

All I need it for is to edit text in PDF's, merge several PDF's into and simple tasks like that.

    Try out foxit, i think it will be a solution for you
    and a good alternative for adobe acrobat 5.
