Run-time error '339'

Hi,

I am trying to run a piece of software of mine that is a few years old. But whern i try it comes up with Run-time error '339' missing"mscomctl"................................. ......................

any ideas what I do?

I fixed it afew years back but can't remember how....

  • Missing dependency. Try doing what this site suggests:
    Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not currently registered ...

    thanks but already done this and when i try to run it i get an error code ox8002801c.

    Tells me to search oin the Net for it?????

    • It could be because you are running it on a newer OS. Have you tried running it on Windows XP?

    • If it does work and it is Windows 7 that you are getting the error messages on. You can use a tool called Windows XP mode. This can be downloaded from Microsoft: Download Windows XP Mode. It allows you to run XP inside Windows 7 without needing an extra license.
