Simple Question " How best to create PDF Files "

Hi all,

This might sound like a very basic question but I want to know the best way to create pdf files for ebooks. I want to be able to create simple pdf files that people can download from my sites. I have no software to create PDF files. I have searched online and noticed heaps of free options and methods. Any tips on the best ones and does it affect the quality depending on the software. Is there a best option for creating pdf files to distribute to customers via downloads. Should I be purchasing adobe acrobat.

    You can use Google Docs then Download as PDF

    or download PDF Creator which is just a virtual printer
    that you can select when printing at MS Word.

    You can download and install libreoffice (used to be openoffice)
    LibreOffice Productivity Suite Download » LibreOffice

    It is an opensource alternative to microsoft office and it can import microsoft office files or you could just create your PDF in it, then there is a button for export to PDF.

    Click it, pdf made. simple.
