I have a membership site that I want to move to a new server. It's pretty active and it's a mix of word press and html.

Please take a look at the site and see if anyone can do this move seamlessly.

That is a simple site that won't take you more than a few hours to migrate. Backup all your files and restore in the new location. One thing you must not forget is that the current site has a sub-domain - be sure to create that as well.

Renesoap - your current hosting uses cPanel, so what you can do is generate a cPanel backup file. Assuming your new host uses cPanel, you can then login to your new cPanel account and import the backup. Takes only minutes to do and it will do all the heavy lifting for you.

Additionally, I'm quite surprised that your new host won't help you. Most hosts will help their customers move to their servers.

1 backup the db
2 install wp in new server
3 modify db to work with the new url..
4 load old db in new wp..
5 done
