No Right Click script in Google Chrome

Had a request to put the "No Right Click" code on albionfair.com . The code works in the IE browser, but not in the Chrome browser.
Anyone know why?
Have a great Memorial Day

  • Doesn't work in Firefox either.

Why bother? It doesn't do anything but annoy visitors.

    • That's the only real effect of right-click blocking. If you want to protect the source of your website, or your content, blocking right-clicking will not be effective (users can use Ctrl + U and Ctrl + C shortcuts).

If you would like to protect your source, have a look here:

      HTML Encrypter - iWEBTOOL.com

An encrypted source is the same as a plain text source, but most of the users don't know how to modify an encrypted source, therefore your source is protected by illegal editors that change a few sentences and claim it as theirs.

As for the content, there was a service called "Tynt", but I think it's closed now. You can read more on it here:

Tynt Gets $8 Million For Ctrl-C Action

Search for similar services and use them on your website.
  • Thanks Bryan. Steve just doing what the customer wants.
Having a little war in town with competing papers and the site is the source for the info.
    Thanks

  • I am fairly certain even if you prevent shortcuts and them using right click copy + rightclick paste, they will find a way around it.
