Interactive flash game question

I'm not savvy to programming at all. I have an idea though and wonder about some of the specifics. What would it take to create an interactive game where people would be fighting? I realize there would be cartoon artwork necessary.

I'm asking about the complexity, time involved and ballpark cost. I know I could check sites where people are looking for these kinds of gigs but at this point I wouldn't even know what to ask for or what type of developer would be best. Here's a link to a game I found that would be similar. Appreciate any input.

    What you're asking is sort of complicated to answer if you're trying to develop a game from the ground up. I would suggest looking for sites that sell pre-made scripts that can just be customized.

    Here's a company I found that sells "white label" flash games that are easy for most flash developers to change, and this company also offers to customize games - It's called "Games in a flash" dot com (can't post a link 'cause of my newb status).

    Search for "flash game licensing" for some other ideas...maybe you can find a basic starting point and then contact a flash developer on elance to customize.
