I want script to count donations on sales page

Hi, I'm looking for a script. I wrote an book, and the editor's daugter got cancer and her husband has heart problems. I want to give a $1 from each ebook sold up to $10 000.00 and have the figure show up on the sales page. I'm thinking of a counting up script. I've searched online with out any luck. Any ideas?

Why don't you just manually update the sales page periodically? Doing in via a script will mean that you need to have a facility for updating the sales ( button, form, etc.) and some sort of storage system for the saved data - not to mention having someone write the script...

I always go to Hot Scripts - The net's largest PHP, CGI, Perl, JavaScript and ASP script collection and resource web portal. when I am looking for quick scripts to do things. They might have something there...

@SteveJohnson, you know what it never even crossed my mind to do it manually or that so much would be involved for the script to run right. I just assumed that there would have been other people already doing this so someone would have automate it already. Don't know much about how to get some to write a script, so I might end up having to do it manually.

@shermancox Thanks I look there and hope someone has already done this.

Thanks Sherman, I have been searching all over the place for some help with my problem. Surely I can find it there!

I'm looking for a script for a one-time-offer page that will completely close that page when new subscriber opts to forgo the OTO and leaves. Should not be too difficult to find?

      all the best,
      Thomas

    Hey!

In PayPal you can do redirect back to your page. So you can check referrers for example or send them to a special page that nobody else can see and then just count the hits there. Update them in your database and display there where you want them
