What is the Best Way to Convert CellPhone Video 3GPP to MPEG4 for YouTube
I have an Android Evo phone that amongst other outstanding features takes outstanding HD video. I use it to shoot video promotions for local merchants to upload to their Google Places profiles and other online promotions.
Although Android has an app on the phone to upload straight to Google's YouTube (you would think it would work seamlessly since these are created by the same company) it doesn't work! I've scoured the Internet and found many others have experienced the same problem and Google has not corrected it.
I was told by a friend that Google accepts MP4 (I usually upload Avis). I don't want to waste time. So does anyone have actual experience taking the cellphone video format 3GPP and converting it to MP4 to successfully upload to YouTube? Also what are good free Video editing programs that could handle doing nice edits to video as well?
Thanks in advance for your help!
