Best coding resource - PSD to Wordpress?

I need to find a tried and true, lower cost coding source to take PSD design files and code them for a Wordpress theme?

xhtml chop looks good but I this is new territory for me. Do you have a preferred coding resource? All I need is a landing page/header plus a secondary template page.

Thanks,
Radar

Isn't WP an overkill for just 2 pages...?

    • I was thinking that, but am sure there must be a good reason behind it.

I run a small business website design company and its lucky because I am a general internet addict. I really should be thinner considering the hours spent on it. Feel free to have a look at my photography and business blog too.

I can make a wordpress theme for you from a psd. I'll even install a bunch of my favorite plugins to optimise your site for SEO and make it super awesome ;-)

Chat me on skype: webberoo and I'll show you some of my recent conversions.

Actually, it would be much more cost effective and easier to slice the PSD in photoshop and save it as HTML and use standard HTML instead of WP, as it is kinda overkill as mentioned by Istvan to use WP for only a couple of pages.

You can find some free PSD to HTML slicing tutorials quite easily too.

      Thanks for your input!

Overkill? Not if they want a custom design and I'm not a designer or a coder. My client wants an attractive custom design landing page with custom header and will have about 4 other pages with content. The other 4 pages will just use the secondary page look and feel with unique content on each (e.g. about us, contact us, recommendations, plus a few legal pages with just text).

They don't want to use a free WP theme, they want their own look and feel. I don't know if the designer knows how to slide the PSD in photoshop. Does that require any extra skill on her part? I don't want to get into the coder-wannabe role - I'm just trying to get it DONE.

Plugins etc. will be handled by webmaster.

try going to Freelancer.com , you can get that taken care of in a jeffy at a great flat rate, psd to wp or html is a very common job over there. and using wp would not be overkill, its the logical choice for any stable project, static or dynamic.

1baywarrior - thank you for your reply. I have used odesk before, but not for this purpose. I always appreciate having some experience with a freelancer first before I send a client's work there. Thank you for the validation regarding using WP too.

Hire someone to transform your design into a wordpress theme. Never used any auto-transformation tools as I highly doubt they'll do a good job.

They don't - at least not good enough for a client project.

Google - plenty of results for psd to wordpress.
