What is a Good, Reliable, and Free FTP Server that I can upload my files with?

PROGRAMMING

I was wondering if you could recommend a good, reliable, and possibly free (you can also suggest proprietary) FTP server that I can connect to online with FileZilla? I'm not very familiar with FTP, but I noticed that my clients are always in need of the URLs of our design templates.

under Linux there are quite a few - we use ProFTPD, mostly. under Windows some options are Xlight FTP Server - Free Windows FTP server software or Serv-U (proprietary).
